On Cults and Other Dangerous Groups
When most people think of cults, they picture groups of hooded figures gathered together in the woods, chanting ominously while a fire burns in front of the statue of their idol. In reality, cults are much more ordinary than what you'll see in movies. Most look perfectly normal at first glance, and it's even possible for them to be built around something other than religion.Today, it's probably better to refer to dangerous cults as "high demand groups", as the main distinction between them and an actual religion, even a pagan religion, is how they treat their members.
This section of the website deals with topics about how these high demand groups operate, how they misuse Christian doctrine to keep members in line, and the little things that separate them from the rest of Christianity.
