About the Author
Chances are, you're expecting this page to feature a long, cliched story about how I, a homeless drunkard with trillions of dollars in gambling debt, turned my life completely around and became a multimillionare and best-selling author after my personal and oh-so-unique encounter with Jesus. If so, you're going to be disappointed.
I'm surprisingly normal. While I did graduate high school, I don't have any degrees, and I'm not a priest or minister. I was raised in a Christian home and attended a Christian school, but that's about it when it comes to my formal education about Christianity.
But there is something about me that's not so common.
Many years ago, I was nearly assimilated into a local "Christian" cult, despite thinking I knew better. However, I could not accept some of their core doctrines, and eventually they broke off contact. This experience showed me a side of Christianity that I didn't know existed, and although being cut off hurt, it was ulimately for the best.
It really put my beliefs to the test, as I had to defend them from the Scriptures against people who were trained not to listen. I learned more about Christianity from that experience than from all of the testimonies and feel good books I've ever read.
That's not where the story ends, either. Since losing contact with the cult, I've been hanging around online ex-Christian and ex-Cult communities, occasionally sharing experiences and learning about what other people have faced. One of the most common things I've encountered within these groups is that people are being taught about a terrible and evil Christianity; one that often leaves them hurt and angry.
I want to try and help these people, and Wrinkled Crow Apologetics is the result of that effort.
