Mission Statement
A mission statement is a summary of a project's goals. In the case of Wrinkled Crow Apologetics, this can be summarized by the phrase To Inform, To Comfort, and To Warn.To Inform
Perhaps the most important thing any apologetics project can do is provide useful and truthful information about Christianity. After all, the entire purpose of apologetics is to defend the Faith using reason. This is also different than evangelization, as the intent isn't to win new people to Christianity, but to answer their questions and dismiss rumors. To Comfort
Along with providing information about Christianity, Wrinkled Crow Apologetics is an attempt to reach out to ex-Christians and ex-Cult members who were hurt by the actions of allegedly religious people. Hopefully by showing what the Bible actually teaches, I can help them understand where things went wrong. Sometimes, that's enough to bring some closure and kickstart the healing process.Ultimately, if this website helps even one person find answers and peace, then it's been a success. Leading people to Christ is a bonus, but not the point.
To Warn
Christianity as we know it today is like a tree suffering from a rotting disease. The original roots are strong and the trunk is mostly sound, but many of its branches are beyond help and need pruning.Or to leave the metaphors behind, there's a serious problem with cults using the banner of Christianity to hide in plain sight. People need to know how these groups differ from normal Christian churches - otherwise they won't be able to protect themselves effectively.
