Precious Remedies Against Satan’s Devices by Thomas BrooksWith a lengthy title like that, it'd be easy to dismiss this book as an overly pretentous sermon. Fortunately, it's more of a gentle reminder of how there are many ways to avoid sin and live a Christian life. Throughout the book, many reasons for sinning are given and examined, with several "antidotes" provided.
Fiction
The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. LewisThis series of seven children's books is beloved by Christians around the world, and for many good reasons! The obvious ones being the fun adventures, the wonders of a magical world, and the fact that Good will always triumph in the end. But it's also important to recognize how each story deals with very serious topics, such as forgiveness and sacrifical love.
The Screwtape Letters by C. S. Lewis
In this story, a high-ranking demon named Screwtape uses the mail service to try and help his nephew destroy a man's life and condemn him to Hell. Although we only see the messages Screwtape dictates, we're given a good look into how little things can blossom into major spiritual conflicts, which can in turn give us some useful insights into how to live a better life.
